Nick Didkovsky is writing 100 duets for Piano and Electric Guitar. "This project started when I wrote some duets for Kathleen Supové and James Moore for my residency at The Stone. After the premiere, I was encouraged to write more, and rather arbitrarily picked the number 100. As of Nov 2025, I am starting to wrap up the composing phase of this project. "As I expanded the first drafts of these pieces, total runtime extrapolated to be about 100+ minutes of music. The pieces range from 3 seconds to 3 or 4 minutes each. I am imagining them being presented either in their entirety in a marathon performance, perhaps with a number of ensembles participating, or in short 15-20 minute sets consisting of maybe 10-15 pieces per set."
